The setup gets a bit weird when he wants to test how the .Net application might appear to a Mac user visiting the Web site. Instead of starting up another machine, asking a colleague with a Mac, or simply ignoring those crazy followers of Steve Jobs, Weaver just pops over to the browser in another window. That's easy because Visual Studio is running on Windows inside a Parallels virtual machine, which, in turn, runs on his Mac. He has a PC, a Mac, and a Unix development box all in one.

After rogue ISP McColo was taken offline global spam was estimated to have dropped from 50 to 80 percent, but spammers are starting to reconstitute botnets elsewhere.

The dramatic fall in spam traffic reported last week after alleged rogue ISP McColo was taken offline will only be a temporary reprieve and could actually generate a new wave of Trojans, experts have warned.

It looks like we had 30,000 incoming connections to our servers from spam sources.

We are currently experiencing email issues with inbound email after a software upgrade. We are working with the software vendor to get email flowing as soon as possible. In the meantime, we have disabled inbound SMTP email.

Some clients after the migration were experiencing PHP connection issues to MySQL.  After recompiling PHP 4.4.4, the connection issues were resolved (Thanks! Jeff Lasman at NoBaloney and John at DirectAdmin)
